What is freeze drying?
A preservation technique called freeze-drying involves first freezing the products, then lowering the pressure to cause the water to sublimate, and lastly using heat to dry them without compromising their quality. As a result, the fruit has a very long shelf life at room temperature and keeps its natural color, shape, and flavor. It is also entirely pure fruit—no additives are used.
